In a time as isolated as ours, connection has become absolutely vital for our thriving and surviving. We are running this pilot small group program called "Connection Circles," and we hope that as many of you as possible join one of the circles.
Please register by June 15th.
We will do our best to fit all of the registrants into a group that fits their preferences and availability.
What are Connection Circles?
They are circles of connection. There will be opportunities for deep sharing and simple connection. There is a light “curriculum” that focuses on three questions: 1) How is it with your spirit / interior life? 2) What is something from a recent service that you're still contemplating? And the third question will be a "fresh" question that changes with each session.
When are the Connection Circles being offered this year?
Our Winter/Spring session will run from February through April.
Our Summer session will run from June through August.
Our Fall session will run from October through December.
You'll have the option to choose from many different time slots.
Why should I sign up for Connection Circles?
Because we are living in increasingly isolated and isolating times and connection in small groups are necessary for our surviving and our thriving. Many sociologists talk about the importance of a “third place,” outside of your home and your workplace. For many people, their church is one of those third places. And it can be hard to find a sense of belonging in a church as big as ours. Hence, the need for a small group ministry like this one. Our hope is that you will build a sense of connection and belonging in small ways (both for yourself and for others).
These groups will primarily meet at church, but one or two groups might be Zoom-only.
For a final session, the group might decide to meet elsewhere (maybe at someone's house over a meal), but we'll leave it up to you if you want to do that.
